The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jarvela connects with a crisp jab. Jarvela keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Warmaster. Warmaster shoots in for a double leg but Jarvela sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Juhani Jarvela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Warmaster takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Josh Warmaster has been cut. Warmaster shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jarvela defends it nicely. Warmaster avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jarvela misses with a hook. Jarvela throws a right hand that Warmaster ducks under and follows up with a left that Warmaster also avoids with ease. Jarvela scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Good standup being displayed there by Jarvela as he connects with a hook. Jarvela misses with a two punch combination.
Warmaster should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jarvela throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warmaster looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Warmaster is looking for a kimura but Jarvela is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Warmaster to get the leverage. Jarvela is refusing to be controlled, as Warmaster sits in half guard. Warmaster might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jarvela haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Warmaster is working for a kimura but Jarvela is defending it quite comfortably.
Warmaster wants to work for an arm triangle but Jarvela is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Warmaster is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Jarvela knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Warmaster on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Warmaster is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Warmaster seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jarvela is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
