Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynn comes to the cage accompanied by To a Friend by Alexisonfire. Timo Silakka struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynn instigates a clinch. Lynn keeps control of Silakka as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Silakka jumps guard and drags Lynn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Silakka trying to keep a closed guard but Lynn is proving a slippery customer.
Lynn slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Silakka wants to control but Lynn postures up. Lynn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lynn is breathing heavily. Timo Silakka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Lynn wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Silakka looking to break Lynn's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Lynn remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Silakka will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Silakka is hanging on to Lynn's back as he tries to escape.
Matt Lynn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lynn turns into Silakka and is now in his guard.
