Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Boans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rinta Pelle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boans's entrance music is Round and Round by Ratt. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boans wants to clinch
and Pelle counters with a straight right hand.
Pelle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boans looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boans shoots in and drives through. Pelle sprawls well.
Boans shoots in for a takedown but Pelle shows good takedown defense.
Pelle circles away from the clinch attempt
and Pelle counters with a two punch combo.

Pelle throws a jab when Boans was well out of range.
Boans darts in trying to clinch
and Pelle counters with a nice body shot.
Boans wants to clinch

Pelle digs a good hook to Boans's body.

Boans shoots in for a double leg but Pelle sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Boans tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Pelle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Jon Boans has been cut.
Pelle scores with a body shot.
Pelle rushes Boans and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pelle throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Boanss head.
Boans avoiding damage as Pelle throws knees to the body.
Pelle manages to break the clinch.
Boans wants to clinch up but Pelle keeps it at a distance.
Boans fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pelle avoids it really well and circles away.
Pelle tries to score with a low kick but Boans moves his leg out of the way.

Boans closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Pelle regains full guard. Nicely done.
Boans throwing strikes but missing.
Boans has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Pelle is looking to stand up but Boans isn't so interested in that idea.
Boans drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pelle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Boans has Pelle in his guard.
Pelle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Boans looks to clinch
and Pelle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice uppercut there from Pelle.
Boans looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Boans shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A looping hook to the body misses from Boans. Pelle does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pelle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rinta Pelle dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pelle moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Pelle tests Boans's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Pelle bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Rinta Pelle seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Pelle cracks Boans with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Pelle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Boans throws the left hand but Pelle avoids the punch easily.
Boans tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pelle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boans somewhat.
Pelle bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Boans's head.
Jon Boans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boans tries to clinch up
and Pelle counters with a left to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Boans throws a half hearted mid kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pelle fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Boans throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Pelle throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Boans closes the distance but Pelle moves to the side
and Pelle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rinta Pelle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boans darts in trying to clinch
and Pelle counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Boans out cold! What a finish! Pelle is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
