Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Funkyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Errol Jitani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jitani comes into a darkened arena with his song building. El Condor Pasa kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Funkyama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Errol Jitani! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Funkyama pushes Jitani up against the cage in a clinch. Jitani is trying to push Funkyama away but Funkyama has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Funkyama prevents Jitani from breaking the clinch. Jitani wants a takedown.
Funkyama taking a breather. Funkyama pulls guard. Funkyama trying to keep a closed guard but Jitani is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jitani is looking to stand up but Funkyama won't let him. Funkyama is trying to control the position but Jitani postures up. Jitani trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jitani stands up from Funkyama's guard - Jitani perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funkyama moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Funkyama shoots in and drives through. Jitani sprawls well. Funkyama on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jitani jabs Funkyama right on the nose. Funkyama blinks but takes it well. Nice shot lands for Jitani. Funkyama dives in and scores a takedown into Jitani's guard. Funkyama trying to control the position from guard on top but Jitani is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jitani wants to sweep but no luck. Funkyama wants to control from the top but Jitani keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Chris Funkyama wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Jitani throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Funkyama. Funkyama moves into the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Funkyama pulls guard effortlessly. Funkyama wants to stand up but Jitani is controlling him. Funkyama is trying to control the position but Jitani postures up. Funkyama lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jitani! Funkyama fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Funkyama lands a big shot there that rocks Jitani but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jitani is trying to escape the mount.
Funkyama is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Funkyama extends the arm and Jitani is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chris Funkyama! A less than humble Chris Funkyama misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
