Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Sedano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ban Edsel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Abraham Sedano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ban Edsel! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edsel scores with a head kick. Sedano tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Sedano misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Edsel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Edsel fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sedano shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Sedano trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Edsel is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sedano stays in close to Edsel's body and controls the position. Sedano is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sedano advances to half guard. Sedano passes to side control. Edsel tries to bench press Sedano off him but Sedano keeps the position. Sedano remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Sedano throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Sedano moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Edsel is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Edsel being controlled for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sedano has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Abraham Sedano. Sedano looking to score a takedown here. Edsel is defending well but Sedano drives through and ends up in Edsel's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sedano controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edsel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sedano postures up and lands a big shot to Edsel's brow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sedano engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Sedano's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sedano seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Edsel for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Abraham Sedano just wasn't active enough. Edsel slaps away a takedown attempt from Sedano, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abraham Sedano. That's going to take a lot out of him. Edsel tries to clinch there but Sedano circles away.
Edsel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sedano content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sedano sitting in guard, not really doing much. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abraham Sedano dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sedano feints and as Edsel raises his hands in defense, Sedano changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Sedano engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Edsel looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sedano showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Sedano pushing down on Edsel's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Edsel is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sedano passes to full mount! Sedano lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Edsel wants to control but Sedano is having none of it. Edsel is breathing heavily. Sedano controlling the pace for now. Sedano scoring with strikes but Edsel is staying in there. Sedano has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sedano with good strikes from the mount here! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sedano controlling from mount. Sedano putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Sedano with shots to the head and body - Edsel looks very uncomfortable down there. Sedano landing strikes from the mount and Edsel is in trouble! Edsel is bucking up trying to escape but Sedano cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Sedano looking to control and managing it successfully. Sedano with the ground and pound from mount.

Sedano lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Edsel hang on? Sedano content just to control the position here. Sedano lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Sedano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sedano breaks from Edsel's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Edsel is rocked! A big strike lands for Sedano! That's really hurt Edsel and he's turned his back - Sedano keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Sedano jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
