PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremias Kurki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brady comes to the cage accompanied by Give up- Miles Kane. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeremias Kurki!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brady fails with a takedown attempt.
Jeremias Kurki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brady throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kurki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brady moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kurki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kurki cracks Brady with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Kurki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brady does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's time! Brady's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Brady tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kurki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kurki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kurki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brady but Brady pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Brady really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brady breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Brady is looking to control Kurki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brady avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brady is defended easily by Kurki.

Kurki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brady pinned against the cage. Brady gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kurki shoots in looking for a takedown. Brady tries to sprawl out of it but Kurki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brady manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Nice takedown defense from Brady. No joy for Kurki on that attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Brady will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Brady scores with a sloppy right hand. Kurki should have avoided that one.

Brady lands a good knee to the midsection. Kurki won't want to take too many of those.

I would just about give that final round to Jeremias Kurki.
I think Kurki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
