And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Prometheus Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watermelon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wolf sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Watermelon somewhat.
Watermelon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Wolf counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Watermelon!
An elbow from Wolf crashes against the mat.
Watermelon wants to control but Wolf postures up.
Wolf working the head with strikes.
Watermelon takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Watermelon is trying to control Wolf's posture but Wolf avoids it.
Watermelon is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wolf looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wolf controls the position from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watermelon is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wolf misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Wolf is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Watermelon has escaped the position, nice work there.

Wolf has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Watermelon has hold of Wolf's hands but Wolf slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Watermelon wants to control but Wolf is keeping busy.

Watermelon gets back to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Watermelon keeping moving, preventing Wolf from controlling successfully.
Wolf is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Wolf wants to control from the top but Watermelon keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Prometheus Wolf hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Watermelon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wolf.
Watermelon fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Watermelon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Watermelon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wolf is fending him off so far but Watermelon persists. Nope, Wolf circles away and we're back to standing.

and Wolf counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Phil Watermelon has been cut.
Watermelon shoots and misses
and Watermelon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Watermelon throws a head kick but Wolf moves out of range.
Wolf sizes up Watermelon with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nice shot lands for Wolf.
Watermelon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wolf counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Watermelon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Wolf counter with a right hand.
Watermelon looks for a takedown but Wolf sprawls well.
Watermelon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


Watermelon is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Watermelon drops his hands for a split second and Wolf immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Watermelon face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Wolf follows up with a right hand that knocks Watermelon into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Prometheus Wolf!
