Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Hollinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Surov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hollinger comes to the ring accompanied by WILD BOYS. Surov has chosen Amphetamines as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dylan Hollinger!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexei Surov!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hollinger is looking to score with low kicks.
Surov missing with a left hand there. Hollinger was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hollinger cracks the inside of Surov's front leg.
Surov works Hollinger's body with a nice hook.
Surov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hollinger manages to avoid it.
Surov avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Hollinger fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Surov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Surov shoots in looking for a takedown but Hollinger manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Surov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hollinger throws a low kick but Surov moves out of range easily.
Dylan Hollinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Surov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hollinger was well out of range. Poor timing from Surov.
Surov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Surov. Hollinger does a little dance to reset his feet.

Surov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hollinger throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Surov on the side of the head.
Hollinger throws a chopping leg kick but Surov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Hollinger turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Hollinger gets caught napping as Surov dives in and scores a takedown. Hollinger manages to retain guard.

Surov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Surov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Surov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hollinger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hollinger is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dylan Hollinger wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Hollinger feints and then cracks Surov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Surov down.
Hollinger throws a wild body kick that Surov sees coming a mile off.
Hollinger tried to score with a low kick but Surov checks it.
Hollinger tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Surov was well out of range. Poor timing from Hollinger.

Surov throws a lazy right hand but Hollinger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Surov scores with a jab. Hollinger acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Surov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Surov counters with a shoot takedown. Hollinger fights it but they end up in guard.
Hollinger preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Surov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Surov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Surov pushes down on Hollinger's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexei Surov dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Surov throws a big right hand that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dylan Hollinger just wasn't active enough.
Hollinger throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Surov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hollinger's guard now.

Surov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Surov works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Surov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Surov is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hollinger reverses the position - he's now on top in Surov's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hollinger is looking to advance position but Surov has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Surov goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hollinger turns into him and now he's in Surov's guard.
Surov pulls Hollinger in close to prevent any damage.

Surov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hollinger!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hollinger tries to reverse the position but Surov maintains control.
Surov throws some wild stikes that Hollinger manages to avoid easily.

Surov controlling from the full mount.
Hollinger taking shots to the head.
Surov throwing strikes here but Hollinger is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Surov throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexei Surov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hollinger leaves Surov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Surov misses with a wild body shot.
Hollinger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Horrible takedown by Surov or perhaps it was just good defense by Hollinger which made him look bad.
Surov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hollinger momentarily.
Surov blocks a low kick nicely.
Hollinger misses with a body kick.
Hollinger does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Surov goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hollinger has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Surov but great work by Hollinger.
Hollinger tries to move to mount but Surov blocks the move with his legs.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Hollinger cracks Surov with a big right hand but Surov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Surov is not content to let Hollinger control the position.
Surov is trying to control Hollinger's posture but Hollinger avoids it.

Surov manages to get back to half guard.
Surov is looking to improve his position.
Hollinger passes into side control, despite Surov's attempt to control the position.
You can see the frustration on Surov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hollinger wants to control but Surov is keeping him busy.
Surov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Surov manages to get to full guard.
Surov keeping moving, preventing Hollinger from controlling successfully.
Surov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Surov throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Hollinger looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Surov thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Hollinger trying to control the position but Surov manages to sink in the hooks.
Surov lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Surov.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Surov misses with a punch to the head.

Surov working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Hollinger is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Surov has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Hollinger taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexei Surov!
