Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike RIcci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lang has chosen Ice cream paint job as his entrance music. Mike RIcci has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike RIcci! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Lang! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lang scores with a takedown into RIcci's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lang trying to stand up but can't free himself from RIcci's guard. RIcci being controlled here, momentarily. RIcci on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if RIcci tries to get out of the position. Lang throws a big elbow that misses. Lang passes RIcci's left leg - he's now in half guard. Lang controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lang looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lang prevents RIcci from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lang works his foot free and advances to mount. Lang controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lang has hold of RIcci's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and RIcci manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lang wants to control the pace but RIcci is squirming around nicely. Lang takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Lang can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as RIcci is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lang unloading with bombs! Lang landing shots from mount. Lang punching from mount but RIcci doing a good job of avoiding damage. Lang scoring with strikes but RIcci is staying in there.
It looks like Mike RIcci has been cut. Lang working away from the top, dropping strikes. Lang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lang raining down shots from the mount! This has been an exciting period of action! Lang landing strikes, looking to finish! Lang fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. RIcci is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Lang controlling from mount. Lang trying to control but RIcci is having none of it. Lang is landing with some decent strikes but RIcci is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. RIcci knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lang on the ground. Lang landing shots from mount.
Mike RIcci's cut is getting worse. Lang working the ground and pound effectively.
Jeez, Mike RIcci's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mike RIcci's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). David Lang! David Lang is the new lightweight champion! David Lang gave a mention to Cold Blooded Kemists ↑ 5x160Q in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
