Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Hara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hara comes into the arena with The Who - Eminence front blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Hara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Stevens! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens misses with a jab, cross combination.
Stevens throws a right and a left that both miss. Stevens wants to clinch. Hara gets a double leg takedown into Stevens's guard. Stevens not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stevens can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hara controls the pace. Stevens looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hara is one step ahead there. Stevens working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hara stays in close to Stevens's body and controls the position.

Mike Stevens has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hara shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hara shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stevens but Stevens pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hara throws a quick inside leg kick. Hara shoots in and gets a takedown into Stevens's guard. Stevens keeping moving, preventing Hara from controlling successfully. That's two minutes gone in the round. Hara looking to pass the guard. Stevens wants to sweep but no luck. Stevens can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hara controls the pace. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hara stands and throws Stevens's legs to the side, diving into side control. Stevens wants to control but Hara postures up. Check out the look on Hara's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Hara is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stevens is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hara working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Hara advances nicely into full mount. Stevens blocking the ground and pound. Stevens is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hara misses with a head shot. Hara has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hara wants to control the action but instead Stevens gets a body lock and reverses into Hara's guard! Nice work! Hara keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully. Hara is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stevens must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hara is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stevens loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stevens tries to free his leg and advance position but Hara is retaining full guard. Stevens wants to control from the top but Hara keeps moving. Hara is looking to sinch up a triangle. Stevens throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hara's body to avoid the submission. Hara has instead reached around Stevens's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hara arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Josh Hara!
