Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Sampaio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Alan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas Alan!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampaio throws a right and a left that Alan avoids nicely.
Alan doesn't manage to clinch there - Sampaio circles away.

It looks like Thomas Alan has been cut.
Sampaio throws a push kick but Alan slaps the foot to one side.
Sampaio misses with a kick to the body.
Sampaio throws a sloppy head kick and Alan moves out of range easily.
Alan avoids the head kick by Sampaio.
Alan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Alan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sampaio sprawls well initially but Alan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Alan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
