Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBride will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McBride rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maye moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

McBride takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maye throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on McBride's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Maye dives in looking to finish as McBride flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Maye's strikes! Maye is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! McBride's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but McBride was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Maye!
