Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sang Min Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sang Min Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Lord! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim throws a leg kick but Lord checks it. Kim throws a big shot that misses. Kim has closed the distance and engaged Lord in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Lord's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lord with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kim tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Lord with a knee to the head.
Kim throws a punch but it's blocked by Lord. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Lord. Kim controlling the action here for a moment.
Lord gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Lord lands a nice knee to the body. Lord breaks the clinch.
Lord moves into the clinch. Kim using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lord has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kim misses with the head strike.
Kim has a couple of punches blocked by Lord.
Lord pushes Kim back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kim misses with some punches.
Kim struggles to land a body shot inside as Lord controls his hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim misses with a hook to the ribs.
Lord lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Lord effectively controlling the action here. Lord lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kim or not. Lord blocks the elbow strike.
Lord takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Peter Lord has been cut. Lord tries to stall but Kim uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kim has a couple of punches blocked by Lord.
Kim scores with a shot to the side of Lord's head. Lord gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Lord's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Lord pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lord scores with a jab to the head.
Sang Min Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kim moves forwards but Lord connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kim has taken the fight to the clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Lord.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lord's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Lord moves into the clinch. Kim missing with knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A short right from Kim on the inside. Lord tries to work over Kim's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kim keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lord's efforts to push away. Lord landing knees to the head.
Kim throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kim blocks the elbow strike.
Lord's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Good leg kick by Lord there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kim doesn't manage to clinch there - Lord circles away.
Lord avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lord tries to bum rush Kim with a series of wild strikes but Kim uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lord turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Lord takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A bone on bone clash there as Lord blocks the leg kick.
Lord gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kim lands an elbow that stopped Lord in his tracks for a moment. Kim misses with an elbow over the top. Lord's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lord drives through and clinches with Kim against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lord avoids a wild elbow strike from Kim. Lord lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Stalling in the clinch from Lord.

Lord throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kim blocks it with crossed arms. Kim stalling in the clinch but Lord improves position. Kim misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lord.
Kim tries to work over Lord's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Lord wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kim has him pressed against the cage. Kim misses with a knee to the head. Kim throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lord blocks it with crossed arms. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lord as Kim tries to tie him up. Kim takes an elbow to the temple. A frustrated look appears on Lord's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lord is trying to break free. Lord connects with a knee to the head.
Kim misses with an elbow over the top. Lord's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim is looking to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kim is defended easily by Lord. Lord slips under a jab. Donk. Lord catches Kim right on the button with a cross. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lord. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lord fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kim on the side of the head. Kim swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Peter Lord is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kim looks to land a right hand but Lord moved out of range. Kim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kim tries to move into range but Lord moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Lord is looking to slow Kim down with leg kicks. Kim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lord pinned against the cage. Lord gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kim takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Kim is rocked! Lord darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Kim's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Lord before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Peter Lord!
