Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chad Le Friant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Seth Taylor! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Le Friant fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A punch combination from Le Friant misses. No luck for Taylor with that takedown attempt.
Le Friant closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Taylor to the mat! Taylor manages to get full guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Taylor looking for a sweep. Not yet Taylor, not yet. Le Friant lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Le Friant throws a strike but Taylor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Le Friant has a closed guard, preventing Taylor from standing up. Le Friant keeping full guard, as Taylor tries to pass.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor postures up.
Le Friant could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Le Friant wants to stand and escape but Taylor is having none of it. Taylor pushing down on Le Friant's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Le Friant has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Taylor is working away from the top position though. Le Friant on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Le Friant tries to get out of the position.

 The ref stands the fighters back up because Chad Le Friant just wasn't active enough.
Le Friant changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Taylor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Taylor manages to get back to half guard. Le Friant looks to land a strike but Taylor avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Le Friant throws an elbow that misses. Taylor uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Le Friant's guard. Nice move by Taylor! Taylor is stalling in the full guard. Le Friant throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taylor drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Taylor seems to have locked his on tight now - Le Friant screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Taylor, as he picks up the win!
