These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Diablo Chang! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelin pushes Chang up against the cage in a clinch. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Karelin just misses with a elbow thrown towards Chang's brow. Karelin looks to throw an elbow but misses. Chang is trying to break the clinch but Karelin has him pressed against the cage. Chang displaying some good clinch control by pressing Karelin up against the cage. Karelin prevents Chang from breaking the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Chang's face as he tries to break the clinch. Chang avoids a wild elbow strike from Karelin. Karelin throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Karelin closes the distance looking to clinch and Karelin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Alexander Karelin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelin looks to clinch and Chang counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Karelin darts in trying to clinch and Chang counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Chang thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Karelin to his feet! Karelin is in big trouble!
Karelin is rocked! Karelin wants to clinch but Chang slips to the side and Chang counters with a lovely shot to the body. Karelin is breathing heavily. Chang misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Karelin tries to clinch and Chang counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
