The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tom shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Overim as he avoids it easily.
Overim throws a right hand that Tom ducks under and follows up with a left that Tom also avoids with ease.
Tom fails with the takedown.
A head kick misses from Overim .
Tom scores with a takedown into Overim 's guard.
Overim has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tom is looking to stand up but Overim won't let him.
Tom stopping the sweep attempt from Overim .
Tom controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Tom looking to pass the guard.
Tom engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tom Tom was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Overim fails with the takedown
and Tom moves into the clinch.
Tom manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Overim prevents Tom from getting back to his feet.
Tom is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tom is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Tom manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Overim manages to get himself to full guard.
Tom controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Overim doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Tom wants to get up but he can't break Overim 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Tom Tom has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Tom leaves Overim with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Overim is breathing heavily.
Overim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Overim keeps the fight on the outside.
Overim fails with a takedown attempt.

Tom is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Overim 's half guard.
Tom works his foot free and advances to mount.

Tom is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Tom extends the arm and Overim is forced to tap!
