The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adama avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Adama, right into the meat.

Adama scores with a takedown into Saltykov's guard.

Adama stands up from Saltykov's guard - Adama perhaps looking for a knockout.
Saltykov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Uriah Saltykov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Adama thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Adama advances to full mount.

Adama is working for a guillotine from mount but Saltykov frees his head quite easily.

Saltykov bucks up and throws Adama to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Saltykov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Saltykov is breathing heavily.
Saltykov shoots in and drives through. Adama sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Uriah Saltykov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Adama throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Saltykov's waist but Saltykov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Adama off to one side.
Adama shoots in but Saltykov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Adama moves into range and clinches up with Saltykov.
Saltykov tries to land knees in the clinch but Adama avoids the damage to the body.
Adama is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Saltykov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Adama prevents the takedown attempt.
Saltykov tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Adama has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Saltykov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Saltykov tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Saltykov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Adama cracks Saltykov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Adama is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Adama ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saltykov moves away.

and Adama counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Adama.

Saltykov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Adama passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Adama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Saltykov, who protects the arm well.
Saltykov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Adama asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Adama scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Saltykov to see if he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adama tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Saltykov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Saltykov is in trouble now - Adama has advanced to mount!
Saltykov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Saltykov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Adama on the ground.
Saltykov in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Adama prevents Saltykov from getting the reversal.

Adama with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Adama swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
