Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: what's new pussycat. Rogelio Rodriguez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tom Jones's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones slips a jab from Rodriguez.
Jones tries to clinch there but Rodriguez circles away.
Jones tries to clinch but Rodriguez moves out of range.
Rodriguez looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Rodriguez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rodriguez throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rodriguez sprawls well. Rodriguez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Rodriguez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rodriguez just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodriguez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rodriguez lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.
Rodriguez swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Rodriguez throws a lazy uppercut
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jones wants to clinch.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Rodriguez circles away.
Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rodriguez to the mat! Rodriguez manages to get full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rodriguez is keeping the position for now.
Rodriguez working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jones trying to control but Rodriguez is working from the bottom.
Jones postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Rodriguez.
Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rodriguez's guard.
Rodriguez gets full guard.
Rodriguez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.
Jones throwing strikes but missing.
Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rodriguez working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.
Rodriguez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Rodriguez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rodriguez is looking for a triangle here but Jones uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jones moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Rodriguez trying his best to control but Jones has mounted him.

Jones lands a nice shot to the head.
Rodriguez is trying desperately to improve position.
Rodriguez tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones breaks from Rodriguez's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Rodriguez working to try and regain half guard.
Jones landing strikes from the mount.
Jones working away from the top, dropping strikes.
The referee warns Rodriguez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rodriguez is rocked!
Jones unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rodriguez wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Jones celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Jones!
Tom Jones very nearly forgot to thank Just Fight amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
