Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ken Fayol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Gerous! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gerous shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fayol as he avoids it easily. Gerous wants to clinch but Fayol slips to the side so Fayol counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gerous looking for a sweep. Not yet Gerous, not yet. Fayol gets to his feet. Gerous looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Fayol tries a head kick but it misses.

and Gerous counters with a one-two to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gerous is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Gerous fails to land the takedown. Fayol dives in and scores a takedown into Gerous's guard. Fayol looking to pass the guard. Fayol stays in close to Gerous's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gerous wants to sweep here but Fayol controlling him for the moment. Fayol stands up and waves to Gerous to follow him. Gerous gets caught flat footed, as Fayol shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fayol has gone for a leg lock! Gerous slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fayol's guard. Gerous stands and steps away. Fayol gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gerous shoots in but no luck this time. Ken Fayol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Gerous. Gerous is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Gerous is looking to clinch but Fayol is avoiding it.
Fayol tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fayol has closed the distance and engaged Gerous in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fayol jumps guard and drags Gerous to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Gerous really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fayol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gerous content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Fayol has locked up a guillotine! Fayol's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Gerous is holding on here and Fayol must be using up a lot of energy. Gerous has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Fayol gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
