Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Costa Ioannu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wind Field (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Field's choice of entrance music: The Rains of Castamere -The National. Costa Ioannu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ioannu fails with the takedown
and Field counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ioannu throws a right hand that misses
and Field counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Field tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ioannu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ioannu showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Field.
Field dives in and grabs Ioannu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ioannu pushes down on Field's head and hops out.
Ioannu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Field's waist but Field gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ioannu off to one side.
Field avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Field shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ioannu as he jumps to the side.
Field fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Costa Ioannu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wind Field.
Field jabs Ioannu to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Ioannu tries to keep at a distance but Field has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wind Field has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Ioannu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Field sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Field shoots in looking for a takedown but Ioannu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Field's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ioannu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Ioannu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Field closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ioannu quickly recovers to half guard.
Field is looking to take a break and control but Ioannu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Field thows a huge punch but Ioannu dodges it nicely.

and Field counters with a three punch combo that has Ioannu backing up. Ioannu nods at Field to acknowledge the strikes.

Ioannu ducks right into an uppercut from Field.
Field tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ioannu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Ioannu. Those never looked like landing.
Field shoots in for a double leg but Ioannu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ioannu dives in and grabs Field's left leg, looking for a takedown. Field pushes down on Ioannu's head and hops out.

Field gets tackled into the cage by Ioannu. Ioannu maintains the clinch.
Ioannu tries to pull guard but Field holds him up against the cage and eventually Ioannu drops back down to his feet.

Field closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ioannu circles away.
Ioannu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Field moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ioannu manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Field on his heels. He'll look to pass Field's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ioannu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wind Field comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Field has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Wind Field decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
