Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jaa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Anna Molly by Incubus. Santos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Choosen One by Forever in Terror. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Jaa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Santos! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jaa throws a push kick but Santos slaps the foot to one side. Santos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jaa sprawls well. Jaa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Santos gets slowly back to his feet. Jaa feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Santos's calf. Jaa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jaa throws a quick inside leg kick. Jaa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jaa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jaa looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Jaa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Santos, right into the meat.
A big right from Santos misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jaa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Santos.

Tony Jaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaa checks a low kick from Santos. That kick from Santos tenderised Jaa's leg. Jaa is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jaa. An inside leg kick lands from Jaa. Jaa throws an overhand right that lands on Santos's shoulder, as Santos tries to avoid the shot. Jaa throws a head kick that misses. Santos throws a right hand that Jaa ducks under and follows up with a left that Jaa also avoids with ease. Jaa scoring well with a low kick there.

Jaa misses with a hook. Santos ducked under it nicely. Santos slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jaa attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Jaa scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jaa throws a lazy head kick and Santos counters with a left to the body. Santos's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Santos crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jaa - the referee stops the clock and Santos gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jaa. Santos manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jaa lands a leg kick that knocks Santos off balance momentarily.

Jaa throws a sloppy head kick and Santos counters with a stiff right hand. Jaa drops his hands momentarily and Santos takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Jaa throws a head kick but Santos moves out of range.
Jaa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tony Jaa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jaa throws a head kick that misses. Santos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jaa. Jaa misses with a head kick.
Santos looks to score with a jab to the body but Jaa is just out of range. Santos is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Jaa ducks under a wild hook from Santos. Jaa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Santos has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jaa regains guard immediately. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jaa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaa can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Santos controls the pace. Santos is pushing down on Jaa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jaa is fighting to maintain full guard but Santos has managed to sneak the leg through. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santos wants to control but Jaa is keeping him busy. Santos controlling the action here. Jaa wants to improve his position but Santos is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos stopping the sweep attempt from Jaa. Santos trying to control but Jaa is working from the bottom. Jaa wants to sweep here but Santos controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jaa trying to control the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jaa controlling Santos's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tony Jaa will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Santos. Jaa lands an elbow that stopped Santos in his tracks for a moment. Jaa landing knees to the body.

Jaa throws a nice inside leg kick. Pablo Santos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jaa waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Santos. Santos avoids a kick to the body.

Santos finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jaa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jaa thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Santos if he has to take too many more of those.

Good work by Jaa as he checks the leg kick. Jaa throws a front kick aimed at Santos's knee but Santos avoids it well. Santos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jaa in his tracks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos gets the takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jaa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Santos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Santos gets to mount! Jaa was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Santos lands with some strikes. Jaa is trying desperately to improve position. Santos with good strikes from the mount here! Santos in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Jaa is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Santos breaks from Jaa's wrist control and lands an elbow. Jaa wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos thowing shots but they're missing. Santos unloads with some shots from mount but Jaa bucks and avoids them well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaa wants to hold on but Santos pushes him away. Santos goes for an armbar but Jaa turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jaa. Santos can't keep his opponent in guard - Jaa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Santos is looking to improve his position.
Santos holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Jaa wants to stand up but Santos is controlling the position.

A close second round but Pablo Santos will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jaa checks a leg kick. Jaa misses with a leg kick and Santos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Santos throws a hook but Jaa blocks it. Jaa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Santos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Santos scores with a decent looking hook. A jab lands there for Santos. Jaa throws a leg kick enabling Santos to counter with a crisp jab. Santos is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A head kick misses from Jaa. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jaa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Santos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A momentary lapse in concentration from Jaa enables Santos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jaa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Santos drops back looking for a leg! Jaa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jaa manages to kick Santos off! Santos jumps back into Jaa's guard. Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Jaa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jaa working a defensive guard here.
Santos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos trying to control but Jaa is working from the bottom. Santos showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Santos is looking to work some ground and pound but Jaa has wrist control. Santos looking to pass the guard. Santos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jaa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Santos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Santos postures up.
Santos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jaa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jaa wants to stand and escape but Santos is having none of it. Jaa trying to control the position.
Santos trying to control but Jaa is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Santos tries a head kick but it misses.

And that's the end of the fight! Pablo Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Santos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Pablo Santos! Pablo Santos tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
