Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry has a takedown stuffed.
Shamrock throws a head kick but Perry moves out of range.
Perry feints and as Shamrock raises his hands in defense, Perry changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Perry works over Shamrock with some ground and pound from guard.
Perry stops Shamrock from standing up.
Perry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perry stands up over Shamrock, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Perry throwing strikes from guard but Shamrock blocks nicely.
Perry throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shamrock works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shamrock wants to get back to his feet but Perry is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Shamrock has momentary wrist control but Perry slips an elbow through the middle.

Perry lands a couple of elbows.
Perry is looking to work some ground and pound but Shamrock has wrist control.
Perry with a flurry of punches that miss.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shamrock is breathing heavily.
Perry throwing strikes but missing.

Perry must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Perry lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Perry postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Shamrock covers up, he's hurt! Perry keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Perry and the ref steps in to end the fight! Perry can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
