The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deschain forces Hayman back against the cage and clinches.
Hayman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Deschain is defending well.
Hayman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hayman slaps away a takedown attempt from Deschain, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Deschain shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hayman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Deschain tries to move to full mount but Hayman actually manages to regain half guard.

Deschain is just content to waste time from the top position. Hayman takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Hayman wants to sweep but no luck.

Hayman stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Deschain shoots in looking for a takedown but Hayman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Deschain's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hayman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Deschain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hayman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Deschain somewhat.

Hayman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Deschain manages to avoid it.

Hayman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Deschain paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Deschain looks to land a combination but Hayman avoids it well.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hayman throws a right hand that Deschain ducks under and follows up with a left that Deschain also avoids with ease.

Hayman gets caught napping as Deschain dives in and scores a takedown. Hayman manages to retain guard.
Deschain tries to free his leg and advance position but Hayman is retaining full guard.
Hayman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Deschain is one step ahead there.

Deschain got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hayman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Deschain has managed to get both his arms back between Hayman's legs - danger averted.

Marc Hayman has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Hayman moves out of range of the body kick from Deschain.
Deschain shoots in and drives through. Hayman sprawls well.
Deschain closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Deschain is breathing heavily.
Hayman is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Deschain is tapping! Great win for Hayman!
