Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Glen Danzig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danzig fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Paul sprawls well initially but Danzig persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Paul keeps control of the position for the meantime. Danzig seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Paul does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Danzig thows a huge punch but Paul dodges it nicely.
Danzig is taking a breather. Paul says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Danzig will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Danzig looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Danzig in particular looking to stall. Paul works his way to full guard. Good work. Danzig trying to control the position from guard on top but Paul is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Danzig is looking to stand up but Paul won't let him. Paul working for a triangle but Danzig defends it easily.
Paul keeping moving, preventing Danzig from controlling successfully. Danzig thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Danzig stays in close to Paul's body and controls the position. Paul is controlling Danzig's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Paul is on top in guard.
Paul looks gassed! Danzig is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Danzig looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Paul puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Danzig really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Danzig is trying to get back to full guard. Paul looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Danzig has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Paul is working away from the top position though. Danzig is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paul sitting and controlling from the half guard. Paul winds up and cracks Danzig with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Danzig is trying to control but can't.
Paul passes the guard and advances to mount! Paul working Danzig over with strikes here. Paul controlling from the full mount. Danzig tries to hold on but Paul pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Danzig keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Danzig is working hard here to advance position. Danzig tries to lock up and control but Paul gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Danzig is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Walter Paul dominated that round. That's time! Danzig's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Danzig lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Danzig moves in looking to clinch but Paul pushes him off. Danzig gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Danzig blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Danzig is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Paul gets underhooks to prevent Danzig's takedown attempt.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Paul. Paul is working for takedown but Danzig is calmly controlling the position for now. Danzig gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Paul.

Glen Danzig has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Paul. Danzig trying to stall but Paul improves his position.
Danzig has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Paul avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Danzig missing with knees to the body.
Danzig is trying to break free. Paul keeps control of Danzig as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Paul taking a breather. Paul jumps into guard, dragging Danzig to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul managing to control the position. Danzig gets to his feet - Paul follows without any prompting. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Danzig throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Danzig wants to clinch. Danzig is looking to land body kicks. Danzig is looking to score with low kicks. Paul avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Danzig will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Paul moves into the clinch successfully.

Paul tries to score a body lock takedown but Danzig shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Paul is trying to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paul pulls guard. Paul seems keen to control Danzig's posture. Paul manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Danzig manages to get himself to full guard.
Paul works a leg free and moves into half guard. Danzig tries to kick Paul off but Paul keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Danzig is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Paul's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Paul's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Danzig is looking to control Paul but Paul is wriggling around and keeping busy. Danzig struggling to land strikes to the head as Paul covers up. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Danzig's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Danzig is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Paul has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Danzig missing with punches from the back. Danzig somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Danzig throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Paul tries to escape but Danzig has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Paul showing good submission defense here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Danzig looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Paul trying to control the action but Danzig just sinks the hooks in. Danzig misses with punches from the back. Paul manages to reverse the position and now he's in Danzig's guard. Nice work there by Paul.

Paul gets to his feet - Danzig follows without any prompting. Paul shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Danzig is trying to maintain the position but Paul is very close to passing his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Walter Paul showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Paul moves forwards but Danzig connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Walter Paul has been cut. Danzig with a lazy takedown attempt and Paul counters with a takedown into side control. Paul decides to stand back up. Paul steps back and let's Danzig get back to his feet. Danzig darts in trying to clinch and Paul decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Danzig's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Paul postures up.
Paul controls from within his opponent's guard. Paul advances position into side control! Paul in side control, just content to control the action for now. Danzig is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Paul just content to control the position. Danzig tries to improve position but can't. Paul stands up and we're back to a striking position. Glen Danzig is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Danzig jabs Paul right on the nose. Paul blinks but takes it well. Danzig wants to clinch. Danzig tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Paul swivels and escapes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Danzig wants to clinch up but Paul keeps it at a distance. Danzig closes the distance and clinches up with Paul, looking for a takedown. Danzig pushes Paul against the cage but Paul circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glen Danzig. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paul closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Danzig is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Walter Paul has got the better of the ground game so far. Danzig has one foot on Paul's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Paul avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Danzig misses with a takedown attempt and Paul counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Paul. Paul gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Danzig.

Danzig breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Paul fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Paul takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Paul shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Paul showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Danzig is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Danzig has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Paul is working away from the top position though. Paul looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Danzig is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Paul pulls his head out easily.

Danzig has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Paul is working away from the top position though. Glen Danzig has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Danzig is looking to escape. Danzig wants to control the action here but instead Paul manages to pass to full mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Danzig is trying to escape the mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Walter Paul comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Paul winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
