Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zeref Cheney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zeref Cheney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Malcolm Wallace! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cheney circles away. Wallace misses with a few strikes there.
Cheney shoots in and drives through. Wallace sprawls well. Cheney tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wallace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cheney is fending him off so far but Wallace persists. Nope, Cheney circles away and we're back to standing. Cheney is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wallace sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Left hook, right uppercut from Wallace. Cheney tries to clinch but Wallace moves out of range. Wallace closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wallace wants to break free but Cheney has control.
Wallace stalls. Wallace goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cheney prevents it.
Zeref Cheney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malcolm Wallace. Wallace stalling.
Cheney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Cheney pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wallace has a takedown stuffed. Wallace leaves Cheney with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wallace shoots for a takedown but Cheney saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cheney closes the distance and clinches up with Wallace, looking for a takedown. Cheney pushes Wallace against the cage but Wallace circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wallace moves out of range of the leg kick from Cheney. Wallace gets tackled into the cage by Cheney. Cheney maintains the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Wallace wants to get back to striking at distance but Cheney won't allow it.
Cheney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cheney rushes Wallace and presses him up against the cage. Cheney pulls guard. Wallace slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cheney is trying to control the position but Wallace postures up. Cheney wants to sweep but no luck. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cheney lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wallace! Cheney is working for a guillotine from mount but Wallace frees his head quite easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace tries to reverse the position but Cheney maintains control. Wallace avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cheney.
Cheney looking to control but Wallace is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cheney thowing shots but they're missing. Wallace tries to hold on but Cheney pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace is desperately trying to improve his position but Cheney has a good base and remains in mount. Wallace is controlling an arm, preventing Cheney from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Wallace is trying desperately to improve position. Cheney throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Wallace because Cheney loaded up on that one. Cheney tries to control but Wallace wriggling away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wallace holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cheney tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Cheney controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zeref Cheney dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Cheney lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wallace backs up against the cage.
Cheney fails with a takedown attempt. Good standup being displayed there by Wallace as he connects with a hook. Wallace shoots in but no luck this time. Wallace leaves Cheney with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wallace tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wallace tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cheney counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wallace tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cheney counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace tries to clinch and Cheney counters with a stiff right hand.
Wallace is rocked! Cheney fails with a takedown attempt. Wallace is still on wobbly legs! Can Cheney finish him? That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zeref Cheney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wallace stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wallace wants it to stay on the feet. Horrible takedown by Cheney or perhaps it was just good defense by Wallace which made him look bad. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wallace closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cheney circles away. Wallace avoids a kick to the body.
Wallace shoots in but Cheney avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cheney pushes Wallace up against the cage in a clinch. Cheney manages to pull guard.
Cheney has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cheney lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wallace! Cheney jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Wallace manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cheney takes a little break here. Wallace wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Cheney working away. Wallace seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cheney in side control, just content to control the action for now. Cheney passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Wallace!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace is working to get back to half guard.
Cheney has control of Wallace's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wallace regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheney throws some wild stikes that Wallace manages to avoid easily.
Wallace keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Wallace wants to control but Cheney is having none of it. Wallace blocking the ground and pound. Cheney looking to finish with strikes here!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace tries to hold on but Cheney pushes him away. Wallace regains half guard. Wallace is looking for a sweep. Cheney is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cheney is keen to just control but Wallace is a slippery customer. Cheney thows a huge punch but Wallace dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cheney wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wallace keeps working. Cheney sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wallace defending well though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zeref Cheney dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Cheney moves into range and clinches up with Wallace. Come on Cheney - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Wallace prevents a body shot from Cheney. Wallace stalling the fight.
Cheney has Wallace pressed against the cage, preventing Wallace from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Wallace taking a breather. Cheney tries to score a body lock takedown but Wallace shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Wallace jumps guard but Cheney stands there with Wallace around his waist. Wallace gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Wallace misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Wallace has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cheney after a bit of a struggle. Wallace fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Zeref Cheney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malcolm Wallace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cheney breaks the clinch.
No luck for Cheney with that takedown attempt. Cheney pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wallace back to the cage. Cheney follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Cheney shoots for a double leg takedown but Wallace sprawls well. He's pushed Cheney's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cheney tries a head kick but it misses.
Zeref Cheney is winning the standup battle so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cheney drops Wallace with a straight right hand, right on the button! Cheney follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zeref Cheney! After winning the bout, Zeref Cheney thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
