Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Angelo Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Beutner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Angelo Dias! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Beutner! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beutner fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dias drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Dias stays in close to Beutner's body and controls the position. Beutner controls Dias momentarily but Dias frees himself. Dias stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beutner swivels though and keeps the full guard. Beutner keeping moving, preventing Dias from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Angelo Dias just wasn't active enough. Beutner slaps away a takedown attempt from Dias, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Beutner. A momentary lapse in concentration from Beutner enables Dias to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Beutner manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Beutner looking for a sweep. Not yet Beutner, not yet. Beutner is trying to keep Dias in close.
Beutner wants to stand up but Dias is controlling him. Dias trying to control but Beutner is working from the bottom. Dias is really struggling to control Beutner but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Angelo Dias has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Beutner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dias napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dias is being controlled here. Beutner wants to control but Dias is keeping him busy. Beutner tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Beutner looks winded! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dias wants to control but Beutner postures up. Dias is trying to get back to half guard. Dias is trying to buck Beutner off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias is trying to improve his position. Dias is not content to let Beutner control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Dias is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Beutner has just dragged him back down to the mat. The strikes coming from Beutner are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beutner is looking to take a break and control but Dias is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dias tries to get back to half guard but can't. Beutner throws an elbow but Dias slips to the side and avoids it well. Dias wants to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dias tries to get back to half guard but can't. Beutner wants to stand but Dias has his arm trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angelo Dias dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dias tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Horrible takedown by Dias or perhaps it was just good defense by Beutner which made him look bad. Beutner tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Beutner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dias gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Beutner throws some wild stikes that Dias manages to avoid easily.
Beutner controlling the pace for now. Dias is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dias tries to hold on but Beutner postures up. Beutner landing strikes from the mount. Dias squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Beutner working Dias over with strikes here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Beutner cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Beutner lands a big shot there that rocks Dias but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Beutner with shots to the head and body - Dias looks very uncomfortable down there. Beutner lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dias hang on? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Beutner looking to secure an arm triangle but Dias defends it well. Beutner cracks Dias with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Beutner tries to control but Dias wriggling away. Dias can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias tries to hold on but Beutner postures up. Beutner trying to control but he's not successful this time. Beutner unloading with bombs! Beutner throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dias because Beutner loaded up on that one. Matt Beutner has got the better of the ground game so far. Beutner trying to control but Dias is having none of it. Dias prevents Beutner from taking his back. Beutner is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beutner raining down shots from the mount! Beutner is in the full mount, landing strikes. Dias wants to control but Beutner is having none of it. Beutner with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Beutner looking to control but Dias is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Beutner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Beutner shoots and misses and Dias counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dias working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dias looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dias has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Angelo Dias. Beutner waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dias.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dias shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beutner pinned against the cage. Beutner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Beutner fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Beutner is looking to clinch but Dias is avoiding it.
Dias tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beutner paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dias misses with a wild body shot. Beutner instigates a clinch. Dias pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Beutner tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beutner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dias closes this distance looking for a takedown but Beutner circles away. Beutner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dias to score an easy takedown into full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Beutner is trying to keep Dias in close.
Beutner has his foot on Dias's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dias works his way back into a safe position though. Dias stopping the sweep attempt from Beutner. Dias seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias wants to stand but Beutner has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Dias looking to pass the guard. Dias is working hard here to advance position.

We're going to have a standup here because Angelo Dias wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Beutner fails with the takedown and Dias cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Angelo Dias has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Beutner. Beutner shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dias defends it nicely. Beutner tries for a takedown but Dias circles away easily and Dias holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Dias ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dias no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Dias is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Beutner frees his head nicely. Oh but Dias has switched to an armbar! Beutner is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
