Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Ridgeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James's entrance music is NWO Wolfpack. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ridgeon's choice of entrance music: Skulls. Lewis Ridgeon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Lewis Ridgeon! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from Ridgeon is predictable there and James counters with a leg kick. James slips under a jab from Ridgeon. James looks to clinch and Ridgeon counters with a three punch combo that has James backing up. James nods at Ridgeon to acknowledge the strikes. James misses with a kick to the body.
Ridgeon takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

James fights it but they end up in guard. Ridgeon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ridgeon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of James's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James controls Ridgeon momentarily but Ridgeon frees himself.

James tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ridgeon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of James's head. James is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ridgeon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jimmy James wasn't doing enough on the ground. Ridgeon looks to score with a jab to the body but James is just out of range. James lands with a thumping leg kick.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting James here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. James misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ridgeon.

James was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ridgeon throws the left hand but James avoids the punch easily. Ridgeon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts James as he jumps to the side. Ridgeon blocks a low kick nicely. Ridgeon misses with a looping right.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. James unloads a knee to the mid-section. James tries to land a knee to the head but Ridgeon blocks with his arms.
