Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Payman Quinlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Payman Quinlan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert Fish! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quinlan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. A lull in the action here as Quinlan stalls from top position. Fish struggling a bit here. Quinlan tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quinlan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Fish's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fish manages to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fish manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fish throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Fish has his foot on Quinlan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Quinlan works his way back into a safe position though. Quinlan tries to free his leg and advance position but Fish is retaining full guard. Fish is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Quinlan defends well. Fish trying to keep a closed guard but Quinlan is proving a slippery customer.
Fish has his foot on Quinlan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Quinlan works his way back into a safe position though. Fish not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fish preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Quinlan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Quinlan trying to control the position from guard on top but Fish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fish throws his legs up looking for a submission but Quinlan uses it to pass to side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fish tries to buck Quinlan off but Quinlan is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Fish's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Quinlan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Quinlan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fish will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Quinlan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fish on the ground. Fish struggling a bit here. Fish trying to remain calm as Quinlan controls from the top position. Fish can't do much from the bottom here. Fish is looking to regain half guard here but Quinlan keeps moving and retains side control. Quinlan working the ground and pound but Fish is defending the strikes. Quinlan wants to control but Fish is keeping him busy. Fish parries the strikes from Quinlan easily there. Quinlan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fish to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quinlan working away. Quinlan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Fish sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Fish wants to control but Quinlan postures up. You can see the frustration on Fish's face as Quinlan controls the position. Fish is not content to let Quinlan control the position. Quinlan in side control, throwing shots but Fish defends. Fish is trying to control Quinlan's posture but Quinlan avoids it. Sloppy strikes there by Quinlan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Quinlan scoring with punches and elbows. Fish struggling a bit here. Fish is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The strikes coming from Quinlan are missing the target in this wave of attacks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Payman Quinlan will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Quinlan darts in and clinches Fish up against the cage. Quinlan pulls Fish into guard.
Fish is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fish is looking to work some ground and pound but Quinlan has wrist control. Payman Quinlan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fish thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Quinlan looking for a sweep. Not yet Quinlan, not yet. Fish drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fish jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Quinlan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fish missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Quinlan trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Fish trying to control but Quinlan is working from the bottom. Fish stopping the sweep attempt from Quinlan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fish wants to control from the top but Quinlan keeps moving. Fish preventing the sweep. Fish thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Quinlan looking for a sweep. Not yet Quinlan, not yet. Quinlan keeping moving, preventing Fish from controlling successfully. Fish might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Quinlan haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Quinlan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Quinlan throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fish lands a couple of elbows. Fish lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Quinlan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Quinlan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Quinlan manages to kick Fish off! Fish jumps back into Quinlan's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quinlan keeping moving, preventing Fish from controlling successfully. Quinlan trying to keep a closed guard but Fish is proving a slippery customer.

Fish has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quinlan throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Albert Fish showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Quinlan clinches with his opponent.
Fish tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Quinlan avoids it. Fish has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Quinlan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Quinlan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fish doesn't manage to clinch there - Quinlan circles away.
Quinlan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Quinlan breaks from the clinch.
Payman Quinlan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice takedown defense from Quinlan. No joy for Fish on that attempt. Fish shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quinlan sprawls well. Quinlan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fish gets slowly back to his feet. Payman Quinlan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Albert Fish. Quinlan keeps the fight on the outside. Fish throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Quinlan's waist but Quinlan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fish off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quinlan feints and as Fish raises his hands in defense, Quinlan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Quinlan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fish swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fish is trying to keep Quinlan in close.
Fish is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Quinlan defends well. Fish takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Fish has a closed guard, preventing Quinlan from standing up. Quinlan is pushing down on Fish's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fish is fighting to maintain full guard but Quinlan has managed to sneak the leg through. Fish controlling the position for now. Fish is looking to control Quinlan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fish avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quinlan passes the guard and advances to mount! Fish tries to lock up and control but Quinlan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fish is desperately trying to improve his position but Quinlan has a good base and remains in mount. Quinlan landing shots from mount. Quinlan thowing shots but they're missing. Quinlan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fish has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Quinlan trying to control but Fish is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quinlan landing shots from mount. Fish tries to hold on but Quinlan pushes him away. Quinlan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The referee warns Fish that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fish is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Quinlan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fish can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Quinlan looking to control and managing it successfully. Fish tries to hold on but Quinlan pushes him away. Quinlan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fish is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quinlan landing strikes from the mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Quinlan looking to secure an arm triangle but Fish defends it well. Quinlan controlling the pace for now. Quinlan avoids the attempt from Fish to control. Fish sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Quinlan tries to stand but can't do so whilst Fish controls his leg. Quinlan is trying to control the action in half guard but Fish is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Payman Quinlan showed his dominance in that final round. Well Quinlan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
