And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Thorn!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Thorn lands a big head kick that sends Emelianenko tumbling to the mat! Thorn takes a step backwards and waves Emelianenko back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Fedor Emelianenko has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown but Thorn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Thorn scores with a kick to the body.
Emelianenko tries for a takedown but Thorn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Thorn scoring well with a low kick there.
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Emelianenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Emelianenko is breathing heavily.

Thorn drops Emelianenko with a beautiful combination! Emelianenko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thorn is looking for the KO!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Emelianenko. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Thorn cracks Emelianenko with a left hook right on the temple and Emelianenko goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Thorn lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Emelianenko is OK!

Bob Thorn was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
