Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeru Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Arnold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masaru comes to the cage accompanied by The Naked And Famous - Young Blood. Kevin Arnold will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeru Masaru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Arnold!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnold tries to clinch but Masaru moves out of range.
Masaru tries for a takedown but Arnold sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Arnold tries to sprawl but Masaru drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Masaru is trying to work for a kimura but Arnold is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arnold is staying active underneath Masaru, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Masaru is taking a breather. Arnold says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Masaru has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Arnold pushes Masaru off and gets back to his feet.
Masaru throws a lazy uppercut
and Arnold counters with a nice body kick.
Masaru shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Masaru looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Masaru lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Arnold is trying to stand up here but Masaru is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Masaru tries to pass the half guard into mount. Arnold knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Masaru maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Arnold could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Masaru has cracked it and Arnold is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Masaru!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Takeru Masaru!
Post fight, Takeru Masaru took to the microphone: 'どうもありがとう!'.
