The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Stinger takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Freddy Stinger has been cut.
Melendez darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Stinger's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Melendez before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Xavier Melendez!
A relieved looking Xavier Melendez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
