And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitsu on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jitsu fails with a takedown attempt.
Jitsu shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Jitsu on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jitsu staying out of range there.
Jitsu showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.
A nice inside leg kick there by Silva. That's going to slow Jitsu down.
Jitsu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jitsu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jitsu shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Paulo Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gracie Jitsu.
Jitsu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Jitsu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Silva scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Gracie Jitsu has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Jitsu on that attempt.
Silva lands a glancing blow to the side of Jitsu's head.
Jitsu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Silva.
Jitsu is rocked!
Silva throws a nice outside leg kick.
Jitsu is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
Silva lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Jitsu can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Silva and Jitsu drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Silva.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulo Silva!
