The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richmond moves in looking to clinch but Darwin pushes him off.

Richmond dives in and scores a takedown into Darwin's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Richmond wants to stand but Darwin is controlling his posture from full guard.
Darwin has control of Richmond's left arm, preventing Richmond from doing any damage.
Darwin wants to sweep but no luck.
Darwin wants to control but Richmond passes easily into half guard.

Richmond stands up and beckons Darwin to join him on the feet.
Richmond throws a sloppy head kick and Darwin moves out of range easily.
Richmond tries for a takedown but Darwin circles away easily
and Darwin counters with a nice uppercut.

Richmond uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Darwin.
Richmond tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Darwin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Darwin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Darwin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Richmond.
Richmond looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Darwin is fending him off so far but Richmond persists. Nope, Darwin circles away and we're back to standing.

Darwin dives in and grabs Richmond's left leg, looking for a takedown. Richmond pushes down on Darwin's head and hops out.

Richmond has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Darwin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Richmond doesn't have the hooks in and Darwin manages to turn into his guard.

Richmond striking off his back but it's not causing Darwin any problems.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
