Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fred Ettish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ettish kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is With Karate I'll Kick Your Ass. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fred Ettish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 14 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ettish attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Sinatra throws a shot from downtown. Ettish moves away and avoids it. Sinatra throws a lazy uppercut
and Ettish makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Sinatra shoots in looking for a takedown but Ettish manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sinatra's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sinatra lands with an overhand left. Ettish uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sinatra. Ettish misses with a low kick.
Sinatra throws a body punch but Ettish moves out of range. That kick from Ettish tenderised Sinatra's leg. Sinatra is trying to keep his angry face on. Sinatra bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ettish's head. Ettish's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sinatra connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ettish scrambles back to his feet. Both fighters circling a little - Ettish finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Sinatra cracks Ettish with a right hand to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sinatra throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ettish. Sinatra fails with a takedown attempt. That kick from Ettish tenderised Sinatra's leg. Sinatra is trying to keep his angry face on. Sinatra misses with an uppercut
and Ettish counters with a body kick that stops Sinatra in his tracks momentarily. Ettish scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Frank Sinatra has been cut. Sinatra checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ettish defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sinatra. Fred Ettish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Sinatra. Sinatra shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Sinatra trying to control from half guard but Ettish is working away. Ettish holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Ettish regains full guard. Nicely done. Sinatra trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sinatra pushes down on Ettish's leg and manages to get into half guard. Sinatra uses his free foot to push down on Ettish's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ettish. Ettish taking shots to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ettish bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Ettish showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ettish wants to control from the top but Sinatra keeps moving. Ettish looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sinatra manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ettish manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sinatra looking to pass the guard. Ettish looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sinatra is one step ahead there. Sinatra sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ettish's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sinatra moves into full mount! Ettish won't be happy about that! Sinatra working away from the top, dropping strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Frank Sinatra will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Frank Sinatra's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ettish walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Sinatra shoots in for a takedown but Ettish shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sinatra cracks Ettish with a right hand to the side of the head. Ettish with a nice cross. Sinatra throws a body punch but Ettish moves out of range. Ettish lands a nice shot to the body.

and Ettish counters with a low kick, right behind Sinatra 's knee. Sinatra shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ettish sprawls well. Ettish wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sinatra gets slowly back to his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Ettish. Sinatra does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ettish throws a hook but Sinatra blocks it. Fred Ettish is winning the standup battle so far. Sinatra fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ettish manages to avoid it. Ettish walks into a left hand. Sinatra tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Ettish takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Sinatra scores with a nice right hand.
Sinatra throws a jab when Ettish was well out of range. Ettish moves away from the strike by Sinatra. Ettish scores with a push kick. Sinatra might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ettish chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ettish ducks under a wild hook from Sinatra. Nice defenses there by Ettish. A big left from Sinatra misses. Ettish staying out of range there. Ettish uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sinatra. Sinatra ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ettish moves away. Ettish tries to land a leg kick but Sinatra saw it coming and moves away.
A good leg kick by Ettish. This has been an exciting period of action! A jab from Ettish misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sinatra shoots for a double leg takedown but Ettish sprawls well. He's pushed Sinatra's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fred Ettish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Sinatra. A slapping body kick lands there for Ettish. Ettish avoids the body shot from Sinatra.
Sinatra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ettish as he jumps to the side. Sinatra connects with a body shot. Sinatra uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ettish.
Ettish lands a front kick. Ettish takes one on the button. Ettish catches Sinatra with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Ettish. No joy for Sinatra on that attempt. Ettish lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sinatra's sensitive parts. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sinatra throws a shot from downtown. Ettish moves away and avoids it. Sinatra misses with a body punch
and Ettish counters with a nice body shot. Sinatra defending well as Ettish loads up on a big left hand. Ettish keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sinatra. Sinatra scores with a nice right hand.

and Ettish counters with a head kick that drops Sinatra to the mat! Sinatra scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ettish feints and then cracks Sinatra's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sinatra down. Sinatra shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ettish pinned against the cage. Ettish gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Ettish dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Frank Sinatra's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Sinatra misses the shot to the body. Sinatra connects with a crisp jab. Ettish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sinatra. Sinatra chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ettish can pounce on him.

Sinatra has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ettish. Ettish displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sinatra throws out the jab. Sinatra misses the jab. Sinatra changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ettish will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sinatra is defended easily by Ettish. Sinatra's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Ettish staying out of range there. Ettish staying out of range there. Sinatra avoids the body shot from Ettish.
Sinatra shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Sinatra trying to control the action but Ettish is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ettish keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Ettish is in trouble now - Sinatra has advanced to mount! Sinatra throws some wild stikes that Ettish manages to avoid easily.

Sinatra wants to control but Ettish has made it back to half guard. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Ettish is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sinatra trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ettish looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sinatra stays in close to Ettish's body and controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Sinatra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sinatra has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
