Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Makers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watson has chosen How Much For One Rib? as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mark Makers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Makers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mason Watson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makers throws a hook to the side of Watson's head but Watson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Watson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Watson misses with a hook. Makers ducked under it nicely. Makers tries to clinch but Watson is having none of it. Watson has a takedown stuffed. Watson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Makers. Makers tries to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Watson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Makers's corner calls for a 1-2. Makers obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Makers moves out of range of the strikes. Watson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Makers finds it's way round the side to connect with Watson's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Makers scores with a hook to the body. Watson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Watson scores with a leg kick.
Makers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Watson moves away. Makers looks to throw the jab but Watson is out of range. Mark Makers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Watson ducks under a wild hook from Makers. Watson slips a straight right by Makers. Makers has managed to clinch.
Makers throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Makers misses with some punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makers swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Watson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Makers tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Watson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Watson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Makers avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Watson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Makers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Watson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Makers wanted to stand there but Watson had control of the position. Makers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watson wants to sweep here but Makers controlling him for the moment. Watson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Makers is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Watson. Watson wants to control but Makers postures up. Watson looking for a sweep but Makers has passed into full mount! Oh no! Makers controlling from mount. Makers trying to control but he's not successful this time. Makers looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Watson wants to hold on but Makers pushes him away. Makers prevents Watson from getting the reversal. Makers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Watson tries to control the position but Makers now has his back.
Makers just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Watson trying to control the action but Makers just sinks the hooks in. Watson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Makers dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Makers throws out a loose jab but Watson uses good head movement to avoid it. Makers lands a really nice looking cross but Watson seems unphased.

Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A slow jab from Watson misses its intended target. Makers swings for the body but Watson moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makers missing with a left hand there. Watson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Watson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Makers swivels and escapes. Makers misses with a body shot.

Makers is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Watson moves out of range of the strikes. Makers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Makers tries to clinch up. Makers cracks Watson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Makers is looking to clinch but Watson is avoiding it.
Makers throws a looping overhand right but Watson ducks down to avoid it. Watson swinging wildly here.
Makers lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Makers moves in looking to clinch but Watson pushes him off. Watson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Makers throws out the jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watson is looking to score with low kicks. Makers clobbers Watson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Some wild striking there from Makers.
Makers throws a combination that misses and Watson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Watson working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Makers's thigh. Makers counters though and makes it back to full guard. Watson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Makers wants to sweep here but Watson controlling him for the moment. Makers has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Watson throws a strike but Makers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Makers tries to free his leg and advance position but Watson is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Makers preventing the sweep. Makers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Watson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Makers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Makers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Watson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Makers stacks Watson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Makers! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watson is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Watson shoots in and gets a takedown into Makers's guard. Makers avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Watson throwing strikes but missing. Watson throwing strikes but missing. Watson advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Makers is defending against the submission attempts here by Watson.

That's one minute gone in the round. Watson wants to control but Makers is keeping him busy. Watson is working for a kimura but Makers is defending it quite comfortably.
Makers controlling the position for now. Watson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Makers is just riding it out for now. Watson eventually gives up the hold. Makers regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Watson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Makers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Makers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Makers! Makers decides to stand back up. Mark Makers is winning the standup battle so far. A big right from Makers misses. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Watson. Jab by Makers. Makers throws a shot from downtown. Watson moves away and avoids it. Makers is looking to clinch but Watson is avoiding it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makers tries to clinch up enabling Watson to counter with a crisp jab. Makers fails to land with a series of punches.
Makers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A big left from Makers misses. Watson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Watson misses with a takedown attempt - Makers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Makers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Watson. Watson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Watson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Makers moves to clinch but Watson breaks away and Makers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mason Watson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark Makers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circling - Watson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice takedown defense from Makers. No joy for Watson on that attempt. Mark Makers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Watson. Decent striking displayed by Makers there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A big right from Makers misses. Watson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Makers counters by clinching up.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Makers. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Makers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
