Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lupe Pintor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Quintana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lupe Pintor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julio Quintana! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quintana blocks a head kick by Pintor.
Quintana shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Pintor wants to get back to full guard. Pintor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quintana pulls his head out easily. Quintana missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Quintana passes to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Quintana breaks from Pintor's wrist control and lands an elbow. Quintana raining down hammerfists from mount. Quintana pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Quintana looking to control but Pintor is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pintor is in a horrible position here. Quintana smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pintor keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quintana jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pintor is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pintor and Quintana has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pintor tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pintor defending against the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pintor is not content to let Quintana control the position. Pintor tries to improve position but can't. Quintana wants to control but Pintor is keeping him busy. Quintana cracks Pintor with a big elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quintana throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Quintana working the head and body with strikes. Quintana scoring with punches from side control. Quintana has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Quintana is looking to take a break and control but Pintor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Quintana landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Quintana dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Quintana takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Quintana ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Quintana misses with a looping left. A head kick by Pintor misses and Quintana counters with a head kick that drops Pintor to the mat! Pintor scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Pintor is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pintor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Quintana throws out the jab. Oh Pintor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nice takedown defense from Quintana. No joy for Pintor on that attempt. Pintor shoots for a takedown but Quintana saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Pintor seems to have got his legs back now. Pintor uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Quintana. Quintana fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Quintana misses with a kick to the body.
Lupe Pintor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quintana swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Quintana throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quintana darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Pintor tries to bum rush Quintana with a series of wild strikes but Quintana uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Quintana drops Pintor with a straight right hand, right on the button! Quintana follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
