Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eric Zimmerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gorge Jurgel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zimmerman comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park-- What Ive Done. Jurgel has chosen Rock N Roll Train as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Zimmerman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorge Jurgel! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jurgel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zimmerman counters with a one-two to the body. Jurgel misses with a body punch
and Zimmerman counters with a head kick. That will keep Jurgel thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Jurgel looks winded! Zimmerman lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Zimmerman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jurgel misses with a right hand and Zimmerman counters with a series of strikes. Jurgel will be more careful next time no doubt. Zimmerman scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Jurgel misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Zimmerman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Zimmerman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jurgel swings widly with a right hand
and Jurgel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jurgel with a lazy takedown attempt and Zimmerman counters with a three punch combo that has Jurgel backing up. Jurgel nods at Zimmerman to acknowledge the strikes. A head kick misses from Zimmerman. Jurgel misses with a combination
and Zimmerman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zimmerman thows a body kick. Jurgel tries to catch it but that hurt him. Zimmerman lands a high kick!
Jurgel looks to throw the jab but Zimmerman is out of range. Gorge Jurgel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zimmerman throws a head kick that Jurgel semi-blocks.

Zimmerman jumps guard and drags Jurgel to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. This has been an exciting period of action! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Zimmerman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zimmerman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jurgel defends it easily. Zimmerman isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jurgel stacks Zimmerman on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jurgel! Zimmerman is looking for a sweep. Zimmerman is working hard here to advance position. Zimmerman tries to control but Jurgel manages to take his back. Jurgel gets his hands free as Zimmerman looks to control. Jurgel is trying to stick to Zimmerman's back but Zimmerman is turning into Jurgel. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jurgel's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Zimmerman.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zimmerman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jurgel has control of Zimmerman's left arm, preventing Zimmerman from doing any damage. Zimmerman trying to control the position from guard on top but Jurgel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zimmerman is taking a break and basically stalling. We're going to have a standup here because Eric Zimmerman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Jurgel throws a series of punches but Zimmerman avoids them all with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Zimmerman dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jurgel throws a big shot that misses. Jurgel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Zimmerman trying to control but Jurgel is working from the bottom. Zimmerman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Zimmerman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jurgel for as long as he can get away with. Zimmerman trying to control the position from guard on top but Jurgel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jurgel is breathing heavily.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Eric Zimmerman just wasn't active enough. A low kick from Jurgel is predictable there enabling Zimmerman to counter with a crisp jab.

Jurgel misses with a left hand and Zimmerman makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Jurgel on the wrong end of a nice hook. Zimmerman stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Zimmerman is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jurgel misses with an uppercut. Jurgel misses with a hook
and Jurgel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Zimmerman. Zimmerman clinches. Zimmerman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Zimmerman counters with a straight right hand. Zimmerman gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zimmerman is looking to take a break and control but Jurgel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Zimmerman seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jurgel is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
