Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ramstein Rommel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Glyde!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Rommel misses.
Rommel slips under a jab from Glyde.
Rommel tries to score with a low kick but Glyde moves his leg out of the way.

Glyde uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rommel.
Rommel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Glyde sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rommel somewhat.
Glyde feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rommel's calf.
Rommel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rommel darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Rommel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rommel's corner calls for a 1-2. Rommel obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Rommel shoots in for a takedown but Glyde shows good takedown defense.

Glyde lands a big head kick that sends Rommel tumbling to the mat! Glyde takes a step backwards and waves Rommel back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Rommel throws a chopping leg kick but Glyde manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Rommel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rommel jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Glyde counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Glyde moves in looking to clinch but Rommel pushes him off.
Rommel misses with a straight left.
Rommel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rommel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Glyde is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rommel's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Glyde holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Rommel is in close to Glyde's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Glyde looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rommel is one step ahead there.

That kick from Glyde tenderised Rommel's leg. Rommel is trying to keep his angry face on.

Glyde blocks a low kick nicely.
Rommel is looking to chop away at Glyde's legs.
A head kick misses from Glyde.
Glyde defending well as Rommel loads up on a big left hand.
Rommel wants to clinch.
Rommel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Glyde tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rommel is in Glyde's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Glyde holds on and takes a little breather.
Rommel trying to control the position from guard on top but Glyde is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rommel throws a strike but Glyde rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Glyde working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rommel's head.
Rommel looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Glyde passes into side control.
Rommel is looking for a sweep.
Glyde looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rommel is avoiding damage well.
Rommel is working to avoid the ground and pound but Glyde connects with a decent elbow.

Rommel is trying to get back to half guard.
Glyde scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rommel to see if he's OK.
Glyde working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Glyde is doing well to control the position and prevent Rommel from advancing to side control.
Rommel wants to free his trapped foot but Glyde is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Rommel is just content to waste time from the top position. Glyde takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ramstein Rommel will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Rommel throws a nice looking combination but Glyde bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Rommel throws a right hand that Glyde ducks under and follows up with a left that Glyde also avoids with ease.

Glyde connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Whack! Glyde lands a heavy head kick that drops Rommel. The ref tackles Glyde to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Rommel was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Owen Glyde!
Owen Glyde spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
