Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denard Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Cliche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Denard Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Denard Black! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Charlie Cliche! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black dips to his left and cracks Cliche with an uppercut! Black fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Cliche fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Black keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Black pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cliche shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Black as he avoids it easily. Black cracks Cliche with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Black missing with a left hand there. Cliche was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cliche slips under a jab. A jab from Black misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black fails to land with a series of punches.
Denard Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Black throws an overhand right that lands on Cliche's shoulder, as Cliche tries to avoid the shot. Black looks to throw the jab but Cliche is out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cliche is defended easily by Black. Denard Black is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cliche slips a jab and a cross from Black.
Black throws a series of punches but Cliche avoids them all with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Black throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cliche sees it coming and avoids it easily. Black cracks a nice hook into Cliche's ribs. Black tests Cliche's chin there with a solid looking shot. Black swings widly with a right hand
and Cliche counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cliche throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cliche in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cliche stops Black from standing up. Black working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cliche. Cliche throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cliche missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cliche postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cliche stops Black from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cliche trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cliche trying to control but Black is working from the bottom. Black has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cliche off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Black misses with a straight left.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Black looks to land a left hand but Cliche moved out of range nicely. Black looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Black tries to bum rush Cliche with a series of wild strikes but Cliche uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cliche slips a straight right by Black. Black misses with a hook
and Cliche counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Black misses with the combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cliche uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Black.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denard Black dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Horrible takedown by Cliche or perhaps it was just good defense by Black which made him look bad. Cliche closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Black did well to prevent Cliche getting side control. Black avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cliche. Cliche has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Black is looking to escape. Cliche scoring with strikes to the body and head. Black blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cliche. Cliche is looking to stall here but Black recovers full guard. Cliche working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cliche with a flurry of punches that miss. Cliche won't allow Black to get back to his feet. Cliche throws a big right hand that misses. Cliche scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Cliche missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cliche looking to sit in guard and control but Black gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Cliche kicks Black off and gets to his feet. Black thows a body shot but no joy. Black misses with a wild body shot.

Cliche with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Black to score with a decent uppercut. Denard Black is winning the standup battle so far. Black fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cliche manages to avoid it. Cliche bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Black throws a hook to the side of Cliche's head but Cliche sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Cliche uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Black. A combination from Cliche does no damage. Denard Black is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cliche keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Black. Cliche closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Black did well to prevent Cliche getting side control. Cliche thows a huge punch but Black dodges it nicely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Black keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cliche thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Black's head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Charlie Cliche showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Denard Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Cliche. Black stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Black wants it to stay on the feet.

Cliche shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Black blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cliche. Cliche throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Cliche looks to land a strike but Black avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cliche loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cliche pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Black is keeping the position for now. Cliche throws an elbow that misses. Black uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cliche's guard. Nice move by Black! Black won't allow Cliche to get back to his feet. Black tries to stand but Cliche is controlling from the bottom. Black being controlled here momentarily. Cliche has a closed guard, preventing Black from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cliche is pulling down on Black's head. It's preventing any offense from Black, at least for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Charlie Cliche was stalling too much, according to the referee. Cliche shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Black as he jumps to the side. Black throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A big right from Black misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Denard Black showed his dominance in that final round. I think Black has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
