Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amir Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Legionarivs Sakara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakara is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Rise of Sakara. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakara stuffs the takedown attempt from Khan. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sakara sprawls well. Sakara wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
Khan shoots for a double leg takedown but Sakara sprawls well. He's pushed Khan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amir Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sakara stuffs the takedown.

Sakara cracks Khan with a big right hand and Khan goes down!

Khan is rocked!

It looks like Amir Khan has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sakara trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom.
Sakara is stalling in the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Legionarivs Sakara was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Sakara throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Khan tumbling to the canvas!
Oh Khan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sakara tries to free his leg and advance position but Khan is retaining full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sakara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Legionarivs Sakara has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Khan misses with a takedown attempt - Sakara sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Khan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sakara quickly recovers to half guard.

Khan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sakara is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Khan defends well.

Khan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sakara is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Khan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Khan's back!
Sakara is trying to stick to Khan's back but Khan is turning into Sakara. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sakara's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Khan.

Khan lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Khan is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sakara is trying to escape and Khan transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sakara is forced to tap! Nice work there by Khan! Very nice indeed!
