The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philosophical shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lister is trying to defend but Philosophical finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Philosophical lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Lister quite badly. Lister pulls Philosophical in close trying to recover. Philosophical postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Lister on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Lister doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wax Philosophical!
After winning the bout, Wax Philosophical thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
