Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spud Spud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spud has chosen Lobby as his entrance music. Spud Spud will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Riel Dan Reyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spud Spud! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spud throws a sloppy head kick and Reyes moves out of range easily. Spud is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Spud has a takedown stuffed. Reyes with a poor takedown and Reyes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Reyes throws a body punch but Spud moves out of range. Reyes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Spud quickly recovers to half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Reyes wants to control but Spud is keeping him busy. Reyes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Spud doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Reyes. Spud wants to improve his position but Reyes is controlling well.
Nice strikes from Reyes there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Reyes looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spud is trying to get back to full guard. Spud is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spud is not content to let Reyes control the position. Reyes is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Reyes content to control rather than advance. Reyes lands with a punch from half guard. Spud trying to control here.
Reyes sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Spud defending well though. Reyes not landing any meaningful shots this time. Spud wants to get back to full guard. Reyes wants to take a breather but Spud is having none of it. Spud wants to control but Reyes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Reyes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Reyes wants to pass to mount but Spud is defending the position. Reyes landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spud regains full guard. Nicely done. Spud keeping full guard, as Reyes tries to pass. Spud is looking for a triangle but Reyes pushes his legs off easily.
Spud throws his legs up looking for a submission but Reyes uses it to pass to side control.
Reyes goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Spud has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Reyes but great work by Spud. Reyes is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Reyes controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Reyes is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes is not content to let Spud control the position. Reyes trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Reyes won't allow Spud to pass to mount.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Reyes throws a hook to the side of Spud's head but Spud sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Spud fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reyes avoids it really well and circles away. Reyes looks to score with a jab to the body but Spud is just out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reyes shoots in for a takedown but Spud shows good takedown defense. Spud keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Reyes. Reyes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spud swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Riel Dan Reyes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spud lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Riel Dan Reyes dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Reyes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Spud. Reyes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spud was well out of range. Poor timing from Reyes. A looping hook to the body misses from Reyes. Spud does a little dance to reset his feet. Spud tries to clinch but fails miserably and Reyes counters with a single leg into guard. Spud didn't expect that. Reyes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Spud looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reyes is one step ahead there. Reyes lands a couple of digs. Spud is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reyes forces his way into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spud looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Reyes working Spud over with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Spud has hold of Reyes's hands but Reyes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Reyes slips a nice elbow through Spud's hands, connecting with Spud's forehead. Reyes scoring with strikes to the body and head. Reyes prevents Spud from improving his position. Reyes with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Spud is looking to improve his position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reyes connects with a nice short shot to Spud's temple. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reyes is figuring out what he wants to do next. Reyes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Spud does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Spud knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Spud wants to get back to full guard. Spud looking for a kimura from the bottom but Reyes passes into side control! Spud seems a little lost for a moment, as Reyes dominates the positioning. Spud sneaks back into half guard. Reyes controlling the action here. Spud moves into full guard.
Reyes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spud swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reyes trying to control but Spud is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Reyes engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Spud is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Spud manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reyes manages to get himself to full guard.
Reyes controls Spud momentarily but Spud frees himself. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Riel Dan Reyes has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Reyes enables Spud to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Reyes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Reyes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Spud postures up in Reyes's guard and throws a big left but Reyes blocks it. Reyes pushes Spud off and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Reyes thows a body shot but no joy. Spud lands a glancing blow to the side of Reyes's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Riel Dan Reyes dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Spud bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reyes is defended easily by Spud. Reyes thows a body shot but no joy. Spud keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jab from Spud.
It looks like Riel Dan Reyes has been cut. Spud misses with an uppercut. A jab from Spud does it's job there. Spud tries to close the distance and clinch but Reyes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Spud tests Reyes's chin there with a solid looking shot. Reyes looking to score a takedown here. Spud is defending well but Reyes drives through and ends up in Spud's guard. Spud is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Reyes is in close to Spud's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spud looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Reyes scoring with some ground and pound. Reyes scoring with punches to the head and body. Reyes working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Reyes controlling from the top position. Spud wants to sweep but no luck. Spud working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reyes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reyes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Reyes advances to half guard. Reyes passes the guard and advances to mount! Spud is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes cracks Spud with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reyes raining down hammerfists from mount.
Spud is rocked! Reyes unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Spud wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Reyes celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
