Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jia Le Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniels Drinkis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Li might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Die Monster Die!. Daniels Drinkis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jia Le Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniels Drinkis!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Drinkis lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Li scores with a leg kick.
Daniels Drinkis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Li swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Drinkis closes the distance and clinches up with Li, looking for a takedown. Drinkis pushes Li against the cage but Li circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Drinkis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Li.
Li misses with a body kick.
Li keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Li throws a head kick that misses.
Drinkis drops his hands momentarily and Li takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Drinkis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Li was covering up waiting for the punch and Drinkis finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Li manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Li lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Drinkis is trying to get back to full guard.
Drinkis has hold of Li's hands but Li slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Drinkis is looking to escape.
Li wants to free his trapped foot but Drinkis is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Drinkis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Li's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Li's back!
Li breaks Drinkis's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Li can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drinkis is looking to escape.

Drinkis is trying to maintain the position but Li is very close to passing his half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Drinkis is looking for a sweep. Li is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Li is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jia Le Li will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Drinkis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Li keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Drinkis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Li is trying to control but can't.
Li is pressing down on Drinkis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Li postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Drinkis looks a forlorn figure.


It looks like Daniels Drinkis has been cut.
Li scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Drinkis is in all sorts of trouble here.

Drinkis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Drinkis might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Li haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Drinkis lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Drinkis throws an elbow that misses. Li uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Drinkis's guard. Nice move by Li!

Li sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Drinkis's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jia Le Li will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Drinkis feints and then cracks Li's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Li down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Drinkis shoots in for a double leg but Li sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jia Le Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniels Drinkis.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Drinkis misses with a short punch on the inside.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Drinkis tries to work over Li's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Li prevents the takedown attempt.
Li goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Li lands a nice elbow.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jia Le Li showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Li, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
