Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jelly Tanglib (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matrim Cauthon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jelly Tanglib!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matrim Cauthon!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cauthon shoots for a double leg takedown but Tanglib sprawls well. He's pushed Cauthon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cauthon throws a predictable looking body shot
and Tanglib counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cauthon throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Tanglib uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cauthon.
Cauthon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tanglib but Tanglib pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cauthon misses with a wild body shot.
Cauthon shoots in but no luck this time.
Jelly Tanglib has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matrim Cauthon.
Cauthon swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Tanglib connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

letting Tanglib counter with a right hand.
Cauthon tries a low kick but Tanglib avoids it.

Cauthon swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Cauthon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tanglib sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cauthon somewhat.
Cauthon throws a leg kick but Tanglib moved away.
Cauthon shoots in looking for a takedown but Tanglib manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cauthon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cauthon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cauthon wants to slow Tanglib down by chopping away at his legs.
Cauthon throws a right hand that misses
and Tanglib counters by moving into the clinch.
Tanglib scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Tanglib lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cauthon backwards.
Cauthon wants to get back to striking at distance but Tanglib won't allow it.
Tanglib breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cauthon tried to score with a low kick but Tanglib checks it.
Cauthon finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Cauthon misses with a takedown
and Cauthon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cauthon fails to land the takedown.
Cauthon just misses with a punch to the body.
Cauthon misses with a left hand
and Tanglib connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Cauthon misses with a leg kick.
Cauthon is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tanglib rather than just go for the knockout.
Cauthon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tanglib did well to prevent Cauthon getting side control.
Cauthon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tanglib does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cauthon is trying to work for a kimura but Tanglib is defending well.
Cauthon is controlling the pace.
Cauthon stops Tanglib from getting back to his feet.

Cauthon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tanglib doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cauthon.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cauthon in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matrim Cauthon dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
