Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tadhg Forte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Forte comes to the cage accompanied by First Of The Year. Tadhg Forte looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tadhg Forte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forte shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Smith manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Forte wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.

Forte working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Forte prevents Smith from getting back to his feet.
Forte throws an elbow that misses. Smith uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Forte's guard. Nice move by Smith!

Forte uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Forte, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Forte against the cage but Forte circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith dives in and grabs Forte's left leg, looking for a takedown. Forte pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.

Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Forte did well to prevent Smith getting side control.

Forte is breathing heavily.
Smith content to control rather than advance.

Smith takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Forte looks like he's trying to stand up.
Smith with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Smith's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Smith tries to pass to full mount but Forte defends it.

and Forte counters with a three punch combo that has Smith backing up. Smith nods at Forte to acknowledge the strikes.

Smith closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Forte quickly recovers to half guard.
Forte is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard.

It looks like Smith might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Forte with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
