Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jari Nurmelainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Aalto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jari Nurmelainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Viktor Aalto!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aalto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Aalto looks to land a right hand but Nurmelainen moved out of range.
Aalto missing with a left hand there. Nurmelainen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Nurmelainen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nurmelainen has gone for a leg lock! Aalto slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nurmelainen's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nurmelainen throws his legs up looking for a submission but Aalto uses it to pass to side control.

Nurmelainen is working hard here to advance position.

Aalto stands up and we're back to a striking position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Nurmelainen shoots in and drives through. Aalto sprawls well.
Nurmelainen shoots for a takedown but Aalto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jari Nurmelainen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aalto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nurmelainen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Aalto punishes Nurmelainen's body with a nice straight punch.
Nurmelainen is breathing heavily.
Aalto swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Aalto sends Nurmelainen crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Aalto is motioning to the referee to let Nurmelainen up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Nurmelainen is rocked!

It looks like Jari Nurmelainen has been cut.

Aalto has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oh Nurmelainen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Aalto.
Aalto lands with a right to the head.

Aalto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nurmelainen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aalto but Aalto pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Aalto rushes Nurmelainen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Aalto pushes Nurmelainen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Aalto manages to break the clinch.

Aalto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nurmelainen, pushing him back against the cage.
Nurmelainen tries for a takedown but Aalto manages to get underhooks.

and Aalto counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
