Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rik Spahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Barret The Turk!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Spahn.
Spahn swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck for Spahn with that takedown attempt.
The Turk connects with a solid leg kick.
The Turk lands with a shot to the body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Spahn.
The Turk parries the strikes from Spahn easily there. Spahn is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable The Turk to escape.
Spahn throwing strikes but The Turk manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The Turk gets to mount! Spahn was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Spahn shoots in for a double leg but The Turk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A momentary lapse in concentration from The Turk enables Spahn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. The Turk manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Spahn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but The Turk manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Spahn has The Turk in his guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Turk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spahn is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Barret The Turk seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The Turk moves into range and connects with a jab.

Spahn closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. The Turk did well to prevent Spahn getting side control.

The Turk pushes Spahn away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Spahn gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

You can see the frustration on The Turk's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rik Spahn.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Spahn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
