The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFadden shoots in and drives through. Karelin sprawls well.
Karelin lands a right hook to the body.
Karelin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McFadden's head backwards.
McFadden gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Karelin fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks McFadden square on the jaw! Damn, McFadden is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aleksanteri Karelin!
In his post fight interview, Aleksanteri Karelin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
