Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hunter Scott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Haigh! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hunter Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scott walks into a jab.
It looks like Hunter Scott has been cut. Scott misses with a body shot.
Haigh has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Scott finds it's way round the side to connect with Haigh's head. Scott misses with a right hand letting Haigh counter with a right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Haigh looks to land a left hand but Scott moved out of range nicely. Haigh throws a jab but it's blocked by Scott. Scott swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Haigh to counter with a crisp jab. Scott throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Haigh waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Scott. Scott throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Good shot there by Haigh. Scott fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Haigh moves out of range as Scott strikes. Haigh moves away from the strike by Scott. Haigh ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott misses with an uppercut
and Haigh counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Scott fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oooooh!!! Haigh has knocked Scott down with a huge combo! Haigh steps away and waves a wobbly Scott back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Haigh throws a jab when Scott was well out of range. Scott misses with a wild body shot. Scott misses with a hook

Haigh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scott.
Scott tests Haigh's chin there with a solid looking shot. Scott ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Scott throws a predictable looking body shot
and Haigh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hunter Scott's cut is getting worse.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Haigh. Scott uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Haigh. Scott throws a combination that misses and Haigh counters with a nice uppercut. Haigh misses with a hook. Haigh punishes Scott's body with a nice straight punch. Scott misses with a hook. Haigh ducked under it nicely. Scott misses with a body shot.

Haigh's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Haigh duly obliges. Haigh lands a big uppercut and Scott crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Scott looks OK. Haigh waves Scott back to his feet!

Haigh takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Oh Scott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Scott seems to have got his legs back now. Scott is breathing heavily. Haigh lands a big uppercut and Scott crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Scott looks OK. Haigh waves Scott back to his feet! Scott just misses with a punch to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Scott misses the shot to the body. Haigh connects with a body shot that sends Scott's belly button to the back. Scott gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Haigh gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Scott is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Haigh! John Haigh really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Black Belt Nutrition #=========||=========# logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
