Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arstan Selmy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Travis Thompistone!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompistone shoots in looking for a takedown but Selmy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thompistone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Selmy scores with a sloppy right hand. Thompistone should have avoided that one.
It looks like Travis Thompistone has been cut.
Selmy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thompistone did well to prevent Selmy getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Selmy content to control rather than advance.
Thompistone is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Selmy scores with a couple of nice shots.
Selmy drops an elbow to the side of Thompistone's head.
Selmy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Selmy wants to pass to mount but Thompistone is defending the position.

Selmy scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Selmy drops an elbow to the side of Thompistone's head.
Selmy uses his free foot to push down on Thompistone's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Thompistone.
A nice elbow there by Selmy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Selmy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Thompistone can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Thompistone is in a horrible position here. Selmy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That has opened up Travis Thompistone's cut even more.

The cut above Travis Thompistone's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Selmy softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Thompistone is out cold! Selmy jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Arstan Selmy decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
